Going To Church

Harbour Island, Bahamas is a quaint, seaside town with storied New England-style architecture.

I visited Harbour Island 10ish years ago and when I saw the locals all dressed up for church on a Sunday morning I told myself I had to get back there and make some photographs. I am still in shock and feel beyond grateful I was able to return and went to 4 churches and met some incredible people

This gentleman pulled up, he was so inviting, so friendly! I learned later from showing his photo to others that his mother had been laid to rest the day before. I was riding around the island the day before and EVRYONE was coming and going to show their respect to the family. She must’ve been a very important woman on the island

The Pastor, saw him getting coffee the next day and he was all chatty with me, so nice of him to chat, I didn’t recognize him in his normal clothes but he recognised me.
